As it was announced in January 2015, PCA has designed Sustainability Development Program for the Navarinsky Pollock Fishery in the West Bering Sea and aimed at having the fishery certified to the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification.

Russian Pollock Sustainability Alliance welcomes MSC Independent Adjudicator decision to uphold MSC certification of Russian Sea of Okhotsk Pollock Fishery

Earlier in February, the Conformance Assessment Body (CAB) Intertek Moody Marine recommended the Sea of Okhotsk Pollock fishery for the MSC certification. The determination was followed by two Notices of Objection filed by the At-Sea Processors Association and WWF Smart Fishing Initiative.

June 19 2013 was announced that MSC Independent Adjudicator ‘remanded’ the determination of the Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) Intertek Moody Marine to certify the Mid-water Trawl Pollock Fishery in the Sea of Okhotsk.

Invitation to get acquainted with the system of radiation control and monitoring on the Russian Far East fisheries

Taking into account some baseless and false information about radiation issues with the Russian fish, the PCA would like to invite all interested parties and foreign stakeholders to come to Vladivostok at any convenient time and get acquainted with the effective system of radiation control and monitoring introduced for the fisheries on the Russian Far East.

Pollock Catchers Association

Pollock Catchers Association was established in 2006. Today it is the largest public union in the Russian fishing industry. The Pollock Catchers Association (PCA) includes 32 Russian fishing companies with total catch of about 1.6 million tonnes of fish and seafood.

Their share of the enterprises members of ADM over 72% of the catch of pollock in Russia and more than 35% of the global catch of pollock. PCA member companies produce high quality fish products meet international quality standards. PCA member trawlers produce about 99% of sea frozen pollock fillets, 80% of frozen pollock and 83% of frozen pollock roe on the Russian pollock fishery.
